ABOUT ME

Dr. Elizabeth Visceglia is a licensed physician, specializing in Psychiatry, and a 17-year student of Yoga. She met her teacher, Guruji Prakash Shankar Vyas, a Kriya Yogi, over ten years ago when she was living in Varanasi, India, and she continues to study and practice with him. She recently completed a study of the effects of Yoga practice on people with schizophrenia, which found that Yoga has a profound impact on participants’ symptoms and quality of life. A former middle school teacher, AIDS educator in Kenya, and graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elizabeth completed her training in Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center. She lives in New York City with her family.
